Jack Weil (Redford), a cynical American professional gambler, travels to Havana, Cuba in late 1958, on the eve of the Cuban Revolution. He becomes entangled with Roberta Duran (Olin), the wife of a revolutionary aristocrat, while navigating the decadent and dangerous atmosphere of the city as Castro's forces close in.
Directed by Sydney Pollack (*Out of Africa*, *Tootsie*), "Havana" is an atmospheric and visually rich film that attempts to capture the glamour and turmoil of pre-revolutionary Cuba, drawing comparisons to *Casablanca*.
