Oxalic Acid Varroa Vaporizer 12V
Oxalic acid vaporization is one of the most effective varroa treatments available, but it depends on getting the acid hot enough to vaporize without breaking it down — too much heat and you lose effectiveness. This 12V vaporizer uses a stainless steel pan with an integrated heating element to hold a consistent, controlled temperature.
Load the pan with the correct dose of oxalic acid, insert the wand into the hive entrance, seal the hive, and connect to a 12V power source. The pan heats quickly and releases vapor throughout the colony, killing mites on contact without added stress to the bees.
Oxalic acid vapor requires proper respiratory and eye protection during application — a respirator rated for acid vapors and safety glasses at minimum. We don't currently carry PPE specific to oxalic acid vaporizing; check with a local safety supply retailer for gear rated for this use before treating.
