From the Hakushu distillery, situated in the dark forests of Mt. Kaikomagatake, the distillery was originally constructed in 1973 and expanded in 1981 with the addition of Hakushu Higashi.

The whisky is aged for at least 12 years in virgin American white oak casks, producing a misty aroma of dewy foliage, crisp citrus, and honey. The palate is bursting with flavors of oranges, grapefruit, and oak, blended with macerated blueberries.
